Oxford Urban Living Lab (ULL) Oxford Urban Living Lab (ULL) gathered at Kellogg College for a partners’ meeting (September 2024). The event brought together academics from Oxford Brookes University and The Global Centre on Healthcare and Urbanisation (GCHU) alongside representatives of local policy stakeholders from Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council, SMEs Make Real, VuCity, as well as UK Charity Sustrans.
This meeting centred on the Florence Park neighbourhood case study area, discussing how Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies can engage the local community in reimagining the 15mC concept. Looking ahead, the team is preparing for a series of community workshops involving residents and stakeholders in shaping their neighbourhoods using innovative digital tools.
Oxford ULL is working closely with the Trondheim, Gdansk, and Valencia ULLs, with each city experimenting with approaches to improve neighbourhood walkability, proximity, and quality of life.
